Follicle Force


 Follicle Force is a teaser concept for a 30-second logo ident for Science Channel under the prompt “Question Everything.” The piece sparks curiosity by exploring the hidden factors behind hair loss. While hormones such as DHT (dihydrotestosterone) weaken hair follicles, goosebumps can actually support hair growth.

Inspired by this contrast, the sequence visualizes a metaphorical world where park ranger geese cleanse a forest by consuming unruly hiker pests, representing DHT, to restore balance. Collaborator

Character Design
Collaboration played a key role throughout this project, from concept building and gathering references to character design. I focused on giving each pest distinct personalities to strengthen their connection to real-world counterparts and help the audience recognize them as mischievous “hikers.”


3D Environment
We used 3D environments instead of a full 2D illustration style to hint at the reveal at the end that the story takes place in a metaphorical, otherworldly space. Experimenting with 3D also helped us shape the composition and perspective of our shots.


Full Process
Through this project, I learned how to plan more effectively when combining 2D and 3D media, and how to communicate complex ideas clearly through visual storytelling
